I have the knowledge and skill to find people without ever leaving my seat. I have been doing this for years! So why can't I use my knowledge to find this person that you are looking for now?
Here are some things you have not covered....
Contact the agency his vehicle is registered out of. See if they have had prior contact with him. If so. What kind and type of calls. It would at least tell us frame of mind!
Call his listed phone number in the city he used to live in. Or send a unit to the location.
Call the cell phone company. Where is he actually calling from?
Send the welfare check information to the towns north of us! With his transportation mode.
I'm getting frustrated with the whole 'operator' job. I feel useless!

Didn't you know we're just PBX operators or glorified/overpaid secretaries? Didn't they tell you this when you started your job? Your intelligence level and skill levels and ability to reason and problem solve are not desired. Just your warm body to take abuse from citizens and officers.
@tired.dispatcher ... it wasn't like this at my prior agency. I feel like I was sold a bill of fraudulent goods!!! :-) nice to have u on my blog.
